Every lead in your market.
Caught in one web.
The Web Works engineers bespoke websites, automated scheduling and custom client portals for local service businesses that intend to own their market — not compete for scraps. We specialise in automation, optimisation and personalisation: systems that keep working while you're with a customer. No build fee, live in 48 hours, from £49 every 4 weeks.
Built for businesses that can't afford a slow website.
If a customer can't reach you in ten seconds, they've already called the next name on the list. We make sure that name is yours.

The engine room behind the web.
We sell five systems. This is the machinery all five run on: a bespoke backend portal that captures leads, schedules work and shows you exactly where your money comes from. No off-the-shelf CRM, no plugin soup — software shaped around your business.
The portal is system 02 of the five, and it ships with both packages. The other four plug straight into it — see all five systems.
Everything, wired into one web.

Engineered to be fast, secure and yours.
We build on a modern, battle-tested stack — then hand you the keys. Your site loads in under a second, holds up under a storm-day traffic spike, and never holds your data hostage.
Our platform. Built around your business.
Five systems, all running on the platform we built and run ourselves — then designed and written around one business in one market. You aren't paying for a science project, and you aren't getting a theme with your logo dropped in. You get the machine that already works, shaped to how you win work.
Systems 01–02 are in both packages. Systems 03–05 switch on as you move up — see which package turns on what.
From first call to fully-fed pipeline.

The web has you{{ nameComma }}.
Thanks — your enquiry just landed in our own portal. A strategist will review what you do and the market you're in, and reply within one business day with next steps and a bespoke plan.
Keep an eye on your inbox — a confirmation is already on its way. If anything changes in the meantime, just reply to it.
Let's build your web.
Tell us what you do and where you do it. Within one business day we'll come back with a bespoke plan and a fixed quote — no obligation, no sales theatre.
You're in the diary.
A confirmation is on its way to your inbox with a calendar invite and a one-click link if you ever need to move it.
The slot is held for you and we've got your details. We'll be in touch to confirm — save the link below so you can change it if you need to.

We can't find that link.
It may have already been used. If you'd still like to tell us how we did, just reply to any email from us — we read every one.
That link has expired.
Sorry — it was only good for a few weeks. We'd still love your feedback, so reply to any email from us and it'll come straight through.
You've already left this one.
Thanks again — we've got it. If you want to change anything, just reply to our email and we'll sort it.

Honest is more useful than kind. Tap a rating to start — it takes about thirty seconds.
Thank you — genuinely.
That's the sort of thing that keeps a small business going. We read every single one.
If you've got one more minute, posting the same thing publicly is the single most useful thing you could do for us.
Post it on Google →Thank you for being straight with us.
That wasn't the job we wanted to do for you. This has gone straight to the person who can fix it and someone will be in touch directly — you don't need to chase us.
We can't find that appointment.
The link may have expired or already been used. Book a new time and we'll get you back in the diary.

Need to change it? Cancel here and the slot goes straight back into the diary for someone else — then pick a new time whenever suits.
That's cancelled and the slot is free again. No hard feelings — book another time whenever you're ready.
Straight prices. Nothing hidden.
No build fee either way. Building you a site is one path; wiring the same backend into the site you already have is the other — pick below, then choose Essential or Professional. Anything beyond that is scoped and priced with you on the call.

Custom
More than one location, a connection into the tools you already run, or a workflow nobody else in your sector has. Built on the same platform, scoped to you.
What each package turns on.
Both packages start with the same website and the same portal. Professional switches on the automation that runs while you are working — and you can move up whenever you like.
Moving from Essential to Professional is £80 every 4 weeks and takes an afternoon — there is nothing to rebuild. If Essential is genuinely all you need we will say so on the call.
Only if you need it.
These are not in either package, because most businesses do not need them. Add any of them at any point, one-off.
Anything genuinely one-off — a custom calculator, a workflow nobody else in your sector runs — is scoped and priced with you on the call, before a line of it is written.
There is no build fee, so there is nothing to pay to get started. Your first payment goes out the day your site goes live, then every 4 weeks after that — that is 13 payments a year, not 12, and we would rather say so here than surprise you in month eleven.
No minimum term and no contract to wriggle out of. Cancel whenever you like and the site and systems stay up until the end of the period you have paid for, then switch off. We carry the cost of building it, which is why we would rather build for someone who means it.
Payment goes out by Direct Debit or card so you never have to think about it again.
Hosting, SSL, backups, security patching, your portal, and one content change a month — send it whenever, we batch it. Support is by email inside two working days. It is a managed service, so the site runs for as long as the payments do. Your domain, content and customer data stay yours either way, and we export them on request.
Professional locks one of each service per area. We will not build the same advantage for the firm three streets over — and once your postcode is taken on Professional, it is taken. Essential has no lock, so if your patch matters, that is the reason to be on the higher one.
Privacy policy
This explains what we collect when you use this website or send us an enquiry, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Plain English, no lawyer-speak.

Who we are
The Web Works builds bespoke websites and client portals for local service businesses. For the data described here, we are the data controller. We are a sole trader business operated by Ethan McNair-Walsh, trading as The Web Works. You can reach us at enquiries@thewebworks.uk, and we will provide a postal address on request.
What we collect
Only what you type into our enquiry form:
- Your name and business name
- Your email address and phone number
- What you do, the area you cover, and what you're looking for
- Whether you already have a website or logo, the package you are interested in, and your timeline
- Anything you write in the details box
We also record the date you submitted the form and that you ticked the consent box, so we can show when and how you agreed. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site.
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use your details for one thing: to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to quote and deliver the work. Our lawful basis is your consent when you submit the form, and legitimate interests / performance of a contract once we're actually working together. We will not add you to a marketing list off the back of an enquiry unless you separately ask us to.
Who else touches your data
We keep the list of suppliers deliberately short. Each one only ever processes your data on our instructions:
- Supabase — stores enquiries and runs our secure staff login
- Resend — sends the confirmation email to you and the alert to us
- Netlify — hosts our websites and delivers them securely over HTTPS
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens it is covered by the standard safeguards those providers offer, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into work are deleted after 24 months. If you become a client, we keep your records for the length of our working relationship and then for six years afterwards, because tax and accounting rules require it. Our internal security logs are cleared after 7 days.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of everything we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your data, or stop using it
- Withdraw your consent at any time
Email enquiries@thewebworks.uk and we'll action it within one month, free of charge. If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Enquiries are stored in an encrypted database. Access requires a staff login with mandatory two-factor authentication, and the database itself enforces who can read what — not just the app in front of it. Logins are rate-limited and locked out after repeated failures.
Questions about any of this? Email enquiries@thewebworks.uk and a person will answer — not a ticket system.
